so sos is amazing of course! the staff is wonderful and so much fun. everyone (besides returning staff) moved in on saturday afternoon and later that evening we left memphis and went to Linden Valley for a retreat. yesterday was a day filled with many team building activities (such as a HIGH ropes course which i failed miserably at bc i HATE HEIGHTS!) however there was kayaking which i love! david vignes and i totally dominated that river.
ANYWAYS there was a big change within my first 12 hours at sos. MY JOB CHANGED. i am no longer a team leader, which is what i was last year, but i am now the office/home owner relations girl. I AM SUPER EXCITED ABOUT MY JOB. i will be contacting the youth ministers that will be bringing campers and just answering questions they may have, do follow ups with churches that have previously been to sos, go out to the neighborhood and visit the homeowners whose houses we are working on, and other office things. but the most EXCITING part is that i will have a high school girl from the neighborhood that will be my partner all summer. i will actually get to disciple her and just live life with her. it is really great for me bc i live in memphis so hopefully our relationship can last longer than just these 10 weeks. this job is definitely different than being a team leader but i really believe it is where the Lord wants me this year. so prayers for the new position would be much appreciated.
the girls in my room, HOLLYWOOD, are amazing and we all are getting along great.
have i mentioned i LOVE SOS?!?! okay that's all for the moment!

i'm so glad you're in hollywood - it's my favorite room because it's the most awkward room. you're in hollywood, wes is in poplar. so great! <3
